Re: Visitor visa to visit my son, ……….. and his family in Toronto from 13 October to 10 November 2023

Dear Sir/Madam,

I had applied for a visitor visa to visit my son …………. who is living in Toronto, and the application was rejected thrice citing reasons such as:

1. Not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay

2. Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself

3. You do not have significant family ties outside Canada.

4. The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay

Maybe, I failed to furnish all details about me in my previous visa applications. Therefore, the hon’ble visa officer might have rejected my previous applications.

This time, I am re-applying explaining all information about me with a request to grant me the visitor visa to enable me to visit my son and his family, particularly his newborn child, my granddaughter.

I am living in ……………. India. I own properties from which I derive monthly income of Rs. …….in rentals. This amount is far in excess of what I need for my day to day expenses, and I have saved more than enough to support my travel and stay in Canada. Documents are attached showing details of properties and income. Besides, I have properties worth Rs. 6 crore and bank fixed deposits from which I earn income by way of interest. This should satisfy the issue raised by the visa officer about my means to support myself.

The chief and only reason for me to visit Canada is to meet my son, ………. who is living in Denton, Toronto, along with his wife and their newborn granddaughter. I have not met my son and his family since four years. It is a mother’s natural desire to meet her son. I would particularly like to meet my newborn granddaughter and my daughter-in-law and spend time with them. My son and his wife are not in a position to visit India since they are too busy and do not get leave to visit India. This will also be an opportunity for me to visit the places of tourist interest nearby.

Details about my son:

Name: ………

Profession: Employed as a City Transit Operator at TTC- Toronto Transit Commission.

Approx. Income : ……. per month.

Address in Canada:

…………………………………………………………………

My son earns …… working as a city transit operator at TTC and he will sponsor my visit. His sponsor letter is attached. This also should satisfy apprehensions about my not being able to take care of travel and living expenses, and the issue of purpose of my intended visit to Canada.

I have booked my ticket. Details are attached. I will be traveling alone as my husband is too weak to travel internationally. He is a diabetic patient. He was previously working in a private company in Saudi Arabia. After his retirement, he is staying permanently in India.

There is no reason for me to stay permanently in Canada. As it is, I am old and am quite used to the Indian way of life. I have husband here and my family, and also strong community ties. If I were to live in Canada, it would mean giving up all these, which I am not prepared to do. I have my husband here and my place is by his side. I have brothers and sisters and relatives with whom I enjoy good ties.

I have properties worth Rs. ……to look after and manage them in India. In the light of these factors, I certainly shall not be staying over in Canada. It can be seen from the fact that I have requested a visa for only a short stay of less than a month, from 13th October to 10th November 2023. This should convince you that I have no intention whatsoever of staying over in Canada.

I have visited Saudi Arabia in November 206, and prior to that in May 2015, July 2014, October 2013, July 2012, August 2011, July 2009, April 2008 and November 2007. Each time I have returned to India after accomplishing my purpose, which was to visit my family members there.

I would like to submit that life is uncertain when one is old and one never knows about the immediate or distant future. Now is the time for me to travel to Canada when I am physically able to, see my son and his family, and get peace of mind, as also happiness.

I promise that I will fulfill all visa conditions and return to India as a law abiding person.

I hope you understand how it is and will be pleased to consider my submissions and be pleased to grant the visitor visa to fulfill a mother’s yearning to meet her son and the grandchild.

Yours faithfully

…………
