Format of SOP (Statement of Purpose) for studying Computer Science in the USA
Computer Science Education is of utmost importance in today’s world. The digital era that we are currently living in has brought about an array of convenience, innovation and development. Life without digital processes, internet and computer/mobile systems seems quite impossible. The rising demand for Computer Science education and the significance of the field in this current era is what primarily motivates me to pursue higher studies in the aforementioned discipline. My academic and professional background also reflects my passion and interest for the subject, all of which has been elaborated underneath.
I passed my matriculation exam from St. Anthony’s High School, in 2017, with a score of …. CGPA. After that, I passed my intermediate exam from …………….. Junior College, in 2019, with a score of …. marks. I completed my graduation from ………………… and PG College, in 2022, with a score of ….. CGPA. During graduation I studied every necessary subject pertaining to Computer Science, because my background was the same. Main subjects included Java, C, C++, Data Structures, DBMS, Web Technologies, Mathematics and Chemistry. So, having learned certain basics of computer applications, basically laid down the foundational ground upon which I have chosen to explore and establish a career in the field of Computer Science and IT.
Computer Science education in the USA is incomparable. Not only is the country known for world-class educational provisions and facilities, but is also the point of inception for the Digital Revolution. Silicon Valley simply swept the world with the vastness of progress and frequent innovations. Students would exclusively enjoy the opportunity of visiting such important sites and learn about the discipline in utter depth and profundity. The USA has a legacy of globalized expansion, with the emergence and success of companies like Apple, Google and many more. The University, aforementioned, further adds to my choice of studying over there. The course structure is elaborate and by far the most practically oriented one I have come across. It certainly suffices my academic needs, in entirety. Moreover, I have come to know about their faculty, which is highly qualified to meet every need/requirement of students. Primary sources (alumni) have shared such information. So, my decision to study Computer Science in the USA stands firm.
Apart from studying the different subjects that I had previously mentioned, I also completed a project, entitled, Adsorption Studies of Fe (III) on Activated Charcoal in the Presence of Lactic Acid as Chelating Agent. I went on to complete three diploma courses and received certifications for the same. The first one was a certificate of excellence for Animation Programming. The second was a certification for P.G. Diploma in Computer Applications and my final one was a certificate for Python Programming.
