This is the great age of information technologies. Our life is virtually powered by information systems at each turn. There is a vast and growing demand for specialists in information systems and the demand is not going to die down. Considering this phenomenal growth and the many opportunities in this segment, I am contemplating a career in information systems. Though I am studying for electronics and communication engineering, my focus is on computer systems and technologies. I have taken part in workshops and have done projects based on information technologies. This is the right time for me to take up the information systems course at the University of North Texas

I shall be completing undergraduate studies in electronics and communication engineering in 2023. So far, I have maintained a score of 7.45 CGPA. I intend to pursue higher education in information systems and study topics related to database management, development of solutions, architecting software and management of networked environments.

This program is just right for me since it starts with the fundamentals and gives students a strong grounding in the basics. Thereafter, it proceeds to teach students advanced concepts. Students learn theory and apply their learning in practical projects. I will also have options to choose electives so as to specialize in a few topics. This program will prepare me for a career in information systems management.

The University of North Texas is established since decades and commands respect. It enjoys high ranking in the global list of top universities. Its faculty members are esteemed for their knowledge. What is equally important to me is that the university has links with industry that permits students to serve as interns and gain practical, hands-on experience during studies.

America is a world leader in more ways than one. As a student I admire its system of education that emphasizes true learning and not just learning by rote and passing exams. Students must learn and demonstrate that they have command over what they have learnt. Youth is encouraged to think and be independent right when they are in their teens. It is only natural that America is home to great innovators and great software companies like Oracle, Sun Systems, Google and Microsoft. America is also culturally diverse and yet it is an epitome of harmonious co-existence.

Through a host of projects and experiences, I formed the foundation for higher studies. My first study-related project was Remote Sensing using IoT. The goal is to operate a device remotely using IR remote control unit. The major capstone project was Full Adder Implementation Using High Performance 10T XOR-XNOR Cell in a new 10-T XOR-XNOR circukt that provides full swing outputs simultaneously. I also proposed use of four new FA cells based on hybrid logic design style.

Apart from regular studies I have taken on a certificate course on Machine Learning while I interned at Rinex. I also have a certificate in The Joy of Computing using Python from NPTEL, IIT, Madras. I also have a certificate in Internet of Things from NPTEL, IIT, Kharagpur. I took the initiative to learn Blockchain technology by participating in a workshop. I also joined a workshop on Voice Recognition Robot with Arduino Uno. I have taken part in G-Talks.

I worked as a volunteer in the 2022 IEEE 2nd International Conference on Sustainable Energy and Future Electric Transportation. Currently, I am a member of the college’s NSS student body. I am involved in developing and conducting non-technical events such as creating cultural awareness and blood donation camps.

Moreover, I interned at Rinex Corporation where I worked from March to April 2022, tasked with machine learning implementation.

I have been active in several spheres. Even as I study, I take part in sports activities. I am part of our college cricket team and we have won the college cricket tournament. I was the sports class representative 3 years running. I also like to play volleyball. I believe in being dedicated and in working hard to achieve set goals. I have set my mind on completing the information system course and, come what may, I will do my hardest to emerge with distinction and do the college proud. I also hope to take part in the events and in sports.

India is growing fast and industrial growth is on the rise. At the same time the services section is also growing fast such as in IT and in logistics. Sectors that relied on dated technologies are upgrading to modern information systems. There is tremendous growth opportunity here for those who have qualified as information systems specialists. I am sure that when I return to India, I will be able to take charge of information systems in a business organization and bring about positive transformations. In five years, I hope to become head of the department and work closely with management of that company to grow the business. My future career and success is entirely dependent on this course. It will give me the skills and capabilities to deliver expected results.
