We live in a digitally advanced world, where the innovations of Computer Science and IT processes have brought about an array of unrealized opportunities. It is evident that every sector or institution has introduced themselves to digital platforms, for the purpose of connecting with the entire global network. As an enthusiast in Computer Science, I have developed a strong interest to pursue higher studies in the aforementioned discipline, to understand and significantly contribute towards the digital revolution. My academic ventures, projects and experiences shall vividly reflect upon the reasons as to why it is evident for me to pursue such higher studies. We shall discuss them all, in detail below.

I completed my graduation in Computer Science and Engineering, where I received my first formal certification of studying the aforementioned discipline. The need for IT professionals is high in every industry, due to the growing need for solutions and predictive business models. Computer-aided design and technology is preferred everywhere because digital platforms have become fundamental for effective growth. So, based on the heightened necessity of the discipline and its growing relevance around the world, I believe it’s best for me to pursue higher education in the same. Moreover, my record of achievements, projects and designing/developing experiences adds towards this very interest.

Knowing that the emergence of globalized tech-giants and the establishment of Silicon Valley took place in the USA, makes it quite clear that the country is the best place to pursue higher education in the aforementioned discipline. Apple, Microsoft, Google, Facebook and more, have collectively thrusted the digital revolution to the point where now it is quite impossible to render processes without IT solutions. Studying in the US would provide me the distinguished opportunity of visiting such sites, knowing about their history and the mode of innovation that is currently taking place in the field.

I have also gathered relevant information about this particular university. Knowing about how practically oriented its course-structure is, along with the allowance of field-based projects and a well-equipped faculty, has made me certain that this country and the particular university is the final choice to go ahead with.

I did a project on Big Mart Sales Prediction. Here, I was given the responsibility of developing a machine learning application, designed to predict sales, and provide valuable insights to emerging or already established businesses/firms. This experience vehemently helped me in developing my interpersonal and communication skills, altogether improving my strategic and analytical thinking. Another project, which according to me was one of my best efforts, was an Attendance Project Using AI. In this project a team of five individuals (including me) participated in a 48-hour intercollege hackathon event. I bore the responsibility of developing the front end of the system. One last project that I indulged in was the URecipe. It was a self-developed interactive project that enables users to create, view, and add their own recipes to web applications. I used technologies such as Django, HTML, CSS, Java Script integrated with SQLite database. Such projects have added significantly to my skill-set of using and developing computer applications.

I have achieved various noteworthy ranks and grades throughout my academic experiences. One that compliments the aforementioned discipline is my earning of a Gold Badge for Python on HackerRank. I was enlisted in the NCC (National Cadet Corps) in high school and participated in a National Science Olympiad, in the year 2013. My experiences also include designing and developing web applications. While it is a professional venture, I practice the same as a hobby too, due to my growing curiosity and interest in the field.

I was able to hone my leadership attribute while doing the project on Big Mart Sales Prediction. I was leading a team and managed members, eventually leading to the unhindered work-flow of the project. Through such an experience, I have come to acknowledge and value the essence of teamwork. It is true that collective effort can manifest success in ways we couldn’t simply imagine, while initiating a project or other kind of professional venture. In conclusion, such experiences have raised my understanding of community-building, and how important inclusive values in society truly are.

I have always been fond of exploring new technologies. I value the significance of knowledge quite rigidly. In other words, I will never cease to explore and learn, because in this day and age, knowledge and information is endless. So, it would be wrong to say that we have completed learning something. Rather, we must keep learning so that the pace of sustainable progress and innovation doesn’t come to a halt.

As my home country, India, is shaping up to be one of the world leaders in IT infrastructure, I aspire to contribute with my global education. The Indian government has also played an important role in driving the growth of the IT industry in India. It has introduced generous tax incentives for foreign companies looking to invest in the IT sector, and has also implemented many policies to promote the use of technology in India. This has enabled more companies to take advantage of the potential of the Indian market and set up operations in the country. Overall, the growth of the IT industry in India has been driven by the availability of skilled labor, the emergence of new technologies, and the support of the government. This has enabled India to become a major player in the global IT sector and has helped to create thousands of jobs. It is evident that I move forward to establish myself in the field of Computer Science, with a renowned status and acknowledged presence. As a computer science professional, I seek to learn more and contribute highly to sectors that need dire assistance, to ultimately provide them with an edge in decision-making, creating predictive models and addressing broader issues that are inherent in social and ecological contexts as well.
